Fainta operates on a 100% client-side "Bring Your Own Key" model. We do not store your API keys, your prompt history, or the resulting AI outputs on our servers. Your data stays in your local browser storage or your chosen cloud sync provider.

1. Data Collection
We believe in minimal footprint. Fainta does not require an account to use the core interface. We collect basic telemetry (crash reports, feature usage) only to improve the app, which can be disabled in settings. We never collect the content of your AI interactions.
2. Local Storage
All your settings and workspace configurations are stored locally on your device. If you use our optional sync feature, data is encrypted with your master password before leaving your device; Fainta cannot decrypt or view this data.
3. Third Party Services
When you enter your API key, Fainta communicates directly with the respective AI provider (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic). Your requests are subject to their privacy policies. Fainta does not proxy these requests through our own servers.
Purchases & Refunds
1. Fainta Premium license
Fainta Premium is sold as a one-time payment through Stripe Checkout. Each purchase grants a personal, non-transferable license valid for one year from the date you first activate the key in the desktop app. Licenses do not auto-renew.
2. Activation
Your license key activates on the first device where you validate it. Keys cannot be moved to another machine without purchasing a new license.
3. Refunds
If you experience a billing error or cannot activate your license, contact us within 14 days of purchase at support@fainta.ai. Refunds are issued at our discretion for unused or non-activated keys. Activated licenses are generally non-refundable.
Terms of Service
1. Acceptable Use
Fainta is a tool for interacting with AI models. You agree not to use the tool for generating prohibited content as defined by your API provider's terms of service. You are responsible for any costs incurred through your API usage.
2. Software License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive license to use the Fainta interface. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the application without our express permission.
3. Disclaimer of Warranty
The software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Fainta is not liable for any service interruptions caused by third-party AI providers or data loss due to local storage failures.
